Though a near 30 year age difference, Cleopatra and Caesar became lovers during his stays in Egypt.

Roughly nine months after they met, Cleopatra gave birth to a child she claimed was Caesar's. He, however, refused to name the boy his heir. Even so, the love affair continued.

Cleopatra took Caesarion, her son, to visit Rome just before Caesar's assassination. She returned to Egypt within days, and even now, no one knows if she knew her lover would be killed.



This is one of possibly several manips to come featuring Egypt. You all can thank and her "Egypt and Cleopatra" contest for the theme btw..lol

For this one, I wanted to focus on Cleo's first famous love affair with Julius Caesar. It always seems that we hear so much more about the one with Antony, and I thought this would be an interesting change of pace.
